Virtual Therapy

Virtual speech therapy services are evidence-based and research has shown that they provide the same OR MORE benefits as traditional (in-person) services.

Virtual therapy is convenient for busy families because it takes place right in your home! This means:

  • No travel time or associated costs

  • Children feel more independent - parents of children aged 4 and up only need to help their child login to the session and then the rest can be done one on one with the therapist (most of the time)

    • BONUS: this means you get 30-45 minutes of free time in your home!

  • Sessions can still occur on days of minor illness, quarantine, inclement weather, and even family time constraints

  • This can also be a great choice for families living in more remote rural areas, or families who just don’t want to/aren’t able to commute to see an SLP!

What does this look like online? The same as in-person, just digital! Sessions are always play-based. Relevant games, activities, and books will be provided by the therapist for articulation practice, language tasks, or literacy activities.

Our clients have indicated that they LOVE virtual therapy! This service model has been used by Speech-Language Pathologists for many years in order to service remote areas. Shanan has extensive virtual speech therapy experience and is excited that this model is being adopted more globally. Clients anecdotally find virtual therapy to be effective, fun, and engaging.

Providing virtual services also means that we are able to see anyone in Ontario with an internet connection. We proudly service clients from Renfrew county, Lanark, Leeds, & Grenville counties, Ottawa (Kanata, Stittsville, Carp), Kitchener-Waterloo region, Wellington county, including Guelph, and surrounding areas as well as clients from anywhere else in Ontario requiring speech therapy services near them.
